Podcast Documentation

This is the documentation for my final in Authoring for Digital Devices. We had to create a series of Podcasts. I chose to convert some of the tutorials that I had already made to video Podcasts. I don't know if the Podcasts will ever see the light of day but here is the documentation.

ActionScript Final Project

Here's my final project for my ActionScript Class. It's kinda a step backwards from the previous class project the Tilt-shift maker, but this project is however coded properly. The Tilt-shift maker was coded procedural and very poorly organized, the code is all on the timeline. I had wanted to re-write it properly and add some more functionality but unfortunately there wasn't enough time to untangle the mess of code that I had not touched in nearly five months. So I went with this little project. I'am happy with how it turned it, even if it's a bit simple.

PHP Project

Play Place Reviews.com

My final project for the both my web traffic class and my PHP class is nearly done. I say nearly done cause this project is going to extend into the summer and hopefully next year, if I can get it any traffic. I am actually very excited about this project. One of my favorite things to do with my son is to take him to a play place, mostly cause I like the slides as much as he does. It's only a little awkward to be the fattest kid in the place. The problem is, I can only take him to the same place so often before it get tiresome. Thing is we are rather blessed here in Utah to be surrounded by some pretty awesome parks and playgrounds. Play place reviews will be the place to find and review the best play places, playgrounds and parks in your area.

Glass Break Full render

Worked on a student film last Semester. First off, let me just say, I am not a 3D animation student, I took the Special Effects and Composting class because who doesn't love Special Effects. The shot I was assigned was the following glass break. The Break was rendered in Houdini and composted in After Effects. Here's the first full rendered draft of the shot. Film should be finished by the end of the month.

ATTS

Taking a Web Traffic class this semester, We are charged with starting a web site and to begin building traffic. The sit I choose is All Things Tilt Shift or ATTS. I wrote a tutorial last year on how to apply a Tilt-shift Video effect to video using Photoshop. I assume this means that I am now an expert on all things tilt-shift right? 2011 Fall Semester Demo Reel

Spent this last semester working on a project for the school. The principal footage was shoot a while ago and we were trying to finish up the last of the effects shots. My shots where of a wine glass falling and shattering upon a table and of a window that shatters as a person is thrown through. I am using the Houdini Software for both of these shots. I knew nothing of this software going in and it has proven to be quite a challenge to get to where I am know. The goal is premiere the film in February, so fingers crossed.
